Oh and one last recommendation is Night Dealings! The card is a fun forgotten gem from the Kamigawa block! When we're loaded with a decent amount of evasion, we can tutor up all the things! Best part is the card costs less than $5!Īnywho, thanks for watching! I'll be doing more deck techs in the future of other sweet decks I see or build. The cipher cards are definitely lower in power but a lot of fun if you feel your rogue deck needs to be power down. Example, some cards I think could be pretty fun to keep nearby are cards with Cipher and more Prowl cards! Kumena is a legendary rogue lord that pumps up our rogues and gives us a powerful card draw and mill ability. In this week's episode, we build a 100 budget Anowan, the Ruin Thief deck from the Magic the Gathering set Zendikar Rising. Unfortunately, it is a 6 mana 2/2 but it does make all your blue creatures unblockable and that is just as good!Īs a fan of constantly changing my EDH decks, I like keeping a certain set of cards on rotation. On BudgetEDH we build fun and optimized commander decks with a pre-set budget in mind. Sun Quan, Lord of Wu is a bit pricey if you're not able to grab the FTV printing and currently sits around $30+ so if you want a replacement for this, I'd recommend Deepchannel Mentor. If you're looking for a replacement to the Orb, you can always just play more things that help mill. Unfortunately, there aren't many budget replacements for this exact ability. Luckily, Mesmeric Orb got reprinted and is now under $10 so it's not at the price it once was. unless you get paired against the one player who came prepared with a Horsemanship deck. Some cards that I didn't have in paper at the time of filming that I wanted to add to the deck were Mesmeric Orb and Sun Quan, Lord of Wu as I think those would definitely help with milling and getting more evasion.
